New York (CNN Business)Steph Korey, the cofounder and CEO of travel luggage business Away, is staying in her position.
Away revealed management modifications in December following an examination by The Verge that in-depth accusations of a poisonous work environment culture perpetuated, some workers stated, by Korey. Following the story’s publication, Korey tweeted she had actually “made errors” and revealed herself in “manner ins which harm the group.” She stated she was “horrified and humiliated” and was “not happy” of her habits.
In a memo to staff members Monday, Korey challenged parts of the Verge’s short article, calling it “unreliable reporting,” regreting that it “let loose a social networks mob” versus her and workers.
