A household video game night in Kansas apparently failed when a violent argument broke out throughout a video game of Monopoly, authorities stated.
Investigators reacted to a house in Kansas City late Friday, where a “victim entered an argument with his cousin throughout a video game of Monopoly.”
The cousin’s sweetheart then struck the victim and”pushed him into a mirror,”the Kansas City Police Department tweeted .
The suspect left the house prior to officers shown up on scene, and the victim”needed stitches.”
The abovementioned battle on Friday wasn’t the very first to originate from a video game of Monopoly, according to Hasbro, the business that produces the popular parlor game.
In December 2016, the business established a hotline designated to assist deescalate Monopoly-related bad blood.
The apparently now-defunct hotline, Hasbro UK &Ireland’s Senior Marketing Director Craig Wilkins informed HuffPost at the time, was to have”professionals on hand with the main rulebooks to quickly settle any disagreements, and encourage on how to fix typical problems.”
